Construction is now underway of a new full fibre broadband network here in rural North Northumberland!

  • 3,750 hard-to-reach homes and businesses to be connected
  • £7.3 million contract awarded to GoFibre
  • Berwick-upon-Tweed, Seahouses, Wooler, Belford and neighbouring communities able to access gigabit-capable broadband from Autumn this year, with construction elsewhere until 2025
  • £5 billion Project Gigabit scheme from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology to connect hard-to-reach places that might otherwise miss out
