In our rural North Northumberland villages, our pubs are the pumping heart of our communities, such as The Farriers Arms in Shilbottle. This week our ‘Brexit Pub Guarantee’ comes into force:
- 1,685 North East Pubs helped
- Up to 11p cheaper per pint than supermarkets
- 38,000 local pubs and bars supported nationally
As we work to grow the economy, these are part of wider reforms to taxation, only possible thanks to Brexit, to support local businesses and communities, which also include taxing drinks according to strength and introducing new relief for small drinks producers.
