
This week Anne-Marie held a series of talks with her US counterpart Commerce Secretary Raimondo in Washington DC and secured a bespoke resolution with the US to end the ongoing issue around steel and aluminium tariffs. This deal a huge boost to UK steel and aluminium industries.

"this is a great deal for the UK, and I am pelased we have been able to reach this important agreement. Whilst in the US I also visited the Port of Baltimore with US Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai, with whom I hosted the US-UK Dialogue on the Future of Atlantic Trade to discuss ways to deepen the already strong partnership.
"The USA is the largest investor in the UK economy and existing trade between our two nations is worth over £200billion. I look forward to continuing to develop our strong trading relationship."
