Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, Member of Parliament for Berwick-upon-Tweed, visited Felton C of E Primary School last week to discuss climate change with students.

Earlier this year, pupils at Felton Primary had handwritten very neat letters to Anne-Marie outlining their concerns about climate change, and how we can all play our part in protecting the environment and encouraging nature-friendly habitats.

During her visit, Anne-Marie discussed with the children, in both Pioneers and Voyagers, the importance of recycling to combat climate change, and how small actions can make the biggest differences. Anne-Marie was presented with some fantastic question from the students on all things that are important to them, ranging from climate change, to road safety. Additionally, Anne-Marie was very impressed with the students Eco Bricks they had made.

Talking about the visit, Anne-Marie said:

"It was wonderful to be able to meet the pupils in person to talk about steps we can all take, such as litter picking and planting pollinator-friendly plants. I also took part in a Q&A with two classes which was really enjoyable"
