Earlier this month, it was fantastic to visit one of the schools in our constituency taking part in the the third annual 'Let Girls Play' 'Biggest Ever Football Session'. 475,000 girls took part this year – and I know at least seven of our local schools participated. With the Lionesses becoming EURO champions and World Cup finalists, it's amazing to see the transformational growth in girls’ football – including a 39% increase in the number of female youth teams since 2021 – helping offer girls equal access to football too.

I committed to modern new schools for our communities. Alnwick’s Duchess High was first in 2016, there are more places at Morpeth’s KEVI, and I will campaign for the new school buildings needed for Berwick, while pushing for the delivery of the new school in Amble.
